Lincoln Benefit Trust (LBT) was founded in 1979 when Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12
and member school districts realized the value of self-insurance and the power of
collective purchasing. Today, LBT has 21 participating entity members covering 26,000
school employees and their dependents throughout Adams, Franklin and York Counties.

“We have an excellent rapport and working relationship with
Rob Glus (Consulting Actuary and Partner in the firm),” said Tricia McVicker, Trust
Manager for Lincoln Benefit Trust. “Rob is very responsive to our needs. We value
his expertise and he gets answers to our questions in a timely manner.”
Rob has the ability to discuss with our Board issues and concerns in a way that
makes sense. He is very good at presenting complex issues to our Board in practical
business terms with findings and recommendations that we feel comfortable implementing.
“While our prior actuary was knowledgeable, he just was not able to present information
in a manner that was understandable or helpful. This is the first time our Trustees
truly feel comfortable that they understand our business model and the risks involved.
No one feels intimidated or inhibited in asking questions of Rob. They know that
any question is acceptable and that Rob will take the time to be sure that each
question is answered fully and that the information is useful.”
Our expectation is that our actuary is the expert. “As business managers and representatives
of their school districts, our Trustees need to rely on our actuary for factual
and believable information and advice. Conrad Siegel
Actuaries brings that level of knowledge and expertise
to the table. We have confidence that you know the issues and that you have our
best interests at heart.”
