Charles specializes in defined benefit pension plan consulting for municipal clients, private sector employers, and tax-exempt organizations. He is proficient in preparing actuarial valuations for both municipal and corporate pension plans and related pension calculations and projections. He is an expert in nondiscrimination testing, and he uses this knowledge to regularly help clients navigate complex situations. Charles is also a teacher at heart. He is a specialist in educational programs and employee meetings for the firm’s municipal clients.
Charles joined Conrad Siegel in 2001. During his tenure, he has served in many different roles including providing support to staff, performing system maintenance, and recommending system improvements as a member of our in-house defined benefit support team. Charles also supervised the defined benefit participant hotline for over a decade providing administrative services directly to pension plan participants. This knowledge of our systems and procedures from the inside, aids in helping his clients administer their own plans.
Away from the office, Charles enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with his family. When he isn’t hiking the hills of Central PA, you might instead find him hunting for the newest addition to his book collection.
